🐾 Petting Zoo Fun Facts 🐾
Animals aren’t just cute—they each have their own amazing talents and personalities!
🐐 Goats – Curious climbers! Goats have rectangular pupils, which give them nearly a 320° field of vision—almost all the way around their head.
🐑 Sheep – Their wool grows continuously, so they rely on shearing for comfort. A single sheep can produce 6–10 pounds of fleece a year!
🐓 Chickens – Chickens can remember over 100 different faces (both human and animal). They even have a unique “egg song” they cluck after laying.
🦃 Turkeys – Turkeys can blush! The skin on their head and neck changes color with their mood—turning shades of red, white, or blue depending on how they feel.
🐇 Rabbits – Their teeth never stop growing—chewing hay keeps them healthy and trimmed. A happy bunny will even “binky” (jump and twist in joy).
🐖 Pigs – Smarter than dogs! Pigs love belly rubs, can be litter-trained, and have excellent memories. Despite the reputation, they are actually clean animals if given space.
🦆 Ducks – Waterproof feathers keep them dry even when diving. They can sleep with one eye open—half the brain stays awake to watch for danger.
🐴 Ponies / Donkeys – Strong and gentle. Donkeys are incredible protectors—they will guard other animals (like sheep) from predators.
✨ Fun Fact for ALL animals: Just petting or spending time with them can lower stress, reduce blood pressure, and increase oxytocin—the “feel good” hormone.
Step into the 👑 Enchanted Kingdom of Prana, where every animal has a story to tell and a crown of personality to wear. Let Mr. Whiskey, our strutting turkey king, be your royal escort around the petting zoo. He’ll talk to you, dance for you, and happily follow wherever you wander. And if you get too far ahead, just call his name — watch him come running like the true ruler of his court.
Your first stop is 🏰 Camelot – The Goat Keep, where Excaliber, Arthur, and Guinevere hold court. True to their legendary names, they love attention, affection — and a good nibble on anything within reach. Keep your belongings close, brave knight!
Next up the 🐇 The Velvet Hutch – Bunny Land, soft as velvet and just as enchanting, Cookie & Chester welcome you to their cozy den. Gentle visitors may be rewarded with soft nuzzles — and if you’re lucky, Chester’s cuddle will melt your heart.
From there, wander over to the 🐓 The Feather Palace – Zeus’ Court, where you’ll find Zeus and his queens who will greet you with sweetness and curiosity. They love treats and will gather at your feet in hopes of a snack. Ask an attendant for some freeze-dried worms — their absolute favorite — or bring your own chicken treats to feed them straight from your hand.
And finally, step into the wild side of Prana — 🎶 The Grand Ballroom – Whiskey’s Court. Here, Mr. Whiskey is always ready to dance, strut, and show off his moves. His Spanish Black turkey ladies glide across the yard like elegant ballroom partners, while Rico Suave steals the spotlight with his flashy feathers and undeniable charm. The “fancy” hens are rare beauties in their own right, each one with her own flair. And don’t forget to peek around for baby chicks — the future princes and princesses of this feathered kingdom.
Prana’s animal kingdom adores visitors, and every creature here loves to be spoken to, petted, and admired. During each of our festivals, make sure to stop by, greet the royal court, and share a moment of joy. More often than not, His Majesty Whiskey will reply with a proud and cheerful, “Gobble, gobble, gobble!”
